Mollie's dog Bailey had a liter of puppies in January - Mollie knew that she was going to get rich. She had been told that the puppies would sell for $750 each. With 7 puppies she had $$$$$$ signs in her eyes. The puppies have been for sale for the last 6 weeks and there is only 1 remaining. They only sold for $350-$450 each.
OK here is the scam details. I places ads on several classified web sites. I received a text message from someone in NY(or so they said) he wanted to purchase the puppy and use a private shipper to take the puppy to NY. I did not hear back from him. Later, I received a operator assisted call (the kind used by deaf people). We exchanged email addresses and correspondence by email. He said that he was deaf and wanted the puppy for his son's birthday. He was going to send me a payment that included the shipping and I was to forward the shipping fee to the shipper. I began to smell a SCAM. The check came in today and it was fake. I have turned it over to the police department.
I received an email from him this morning telling me that I would receive the payment today and it included the tracking number. I will let him know the next time that he emails me that I have turned it over to the police. I hope that he doesn't harass me by email or phone.
